The AP is reporting, “Florida and most of the nation will spring ahead Sunday, moving clocks up one hour to observe daylight saving time — but if Sunshine State legislators get their way, Floridians won’t be falling back.
By overwhelming, bipartisan majorities, the normally fractious Florida Senate and House this week adopted a bill that would make their state the first to adopt year-round daylight saving time. That would mean later sunrises and sunsets from November to March, peak tourist season for many beach cities. If Gov. Rick Scott signs it, the plan would still need congressional approval.
