New polls released this past week show both Governor Bruce Rauner and President Donald Trump reaching record levels of disapproval.
In fact, Rauner’s disapproval rating in Illinois is actually worse than Trump’s nationwide.
In a poll released by Morning Consult last week, Rauner’s approval rating in Illinois was 30 percent – one of the least popular governors in the country. His disapproval rating stood at 55 percent.
This week, a new Washington Post-ABC News poll found that President Donald Trump’s approval ratings had fallen to record lows – the worst of any president nine months into his first term.
59 percent disapprove of Trump’s performance as president; 50 percent of those disapprove strongly. Only 37 percent approve of Trump’s performance.
Rauner has been rated one of the country’s most vulnerable governors in his re-election campaign.
