DAILY HERALD: Cubs finally get some clutch hits in 6-2 win over Giants

The Daily Herald is reporting, “The Chicago Cubs put 4 runs across in the bottom of the seventh inning Friday to break a 1-1 tie and make a winner of starting pitcher Kyle Hendricks in a 6-2 victory over the San Francisco Giants at Wrigley Field.

The key hit in the seventh was a 2-run double by Ben Zobrist with the bases loaded and one out. Kris Bryant added a two-out, 2-run single.

Hendricks worked 7 innings, giving up 2 hits and 1 run, a homer to Gorkys Hernandez in the fourth inning. That homer tied the game at 1-1…”
