SUN-TIMES: Early voting in 2018 primaries nearly triple that in 2014 in Chicago, suburbs

The Chicago Sun-Times is reporting, “Early voting records are being “shattered,” County Clerk David Orr said Monday morning.

The previous early voting record for a primary featuring a gubernatorial race was set in 2010, when 34,829 suburban Cook County voters cast early ballots, Orr said at a news conference held at a Loop voting site.
