TRIBUNE: Cubs’ home opener against Pirates pushed back to 2:20 p.m., Anthony Rizzo sits

The Chicago Tribune is reporting, “The scheduled first pitch for the Cubs’ home opener against the Pirates at Wrigley Field on Monday has been moved back by one hour to 2:20 p.m.

The delay was due to the extra time needed to prepare the field, which currently was covered with a tarp and light snow.

The Wrigley Field gates will open at 12:20 p.m. and opening ceremonies are scheduled to start at 1:45 p.m…”
