The Chicago Tribune is reporting, “Here are some of the more interesting events, deals, websites and other travel tidbits that have come across our desk recently:

♦Winterlights, an outdoor holiday display featuring a million lights, runs Nov. 17 to Jan. 7, at Newfields, the new name for the campus that contains the Indianapolis Museum of Art in Indianapolis. Visitors can wander the illuminated gardens and enjoy a choreographed Landscape of Light on the Lilly House lawn. Lilly House will be decorated inside and out for the holidays. Tickets are available for entrance at 5 or 7 p.m. www.discovernewfields.org/winterlights

♦Old World Wisconsin, the living history site in Eagle, is a showcase for traditional holiday festivities during the late 19th century. On Dec. 2-3 and 9-10, there will be horse-drawn rides around the village, caroling and appearances by Christmas characters from various cultures. http://tinyurl.com/yd5n87tz…”
